Metrolink Perris Valley Line

The 91/PVL extended passenger rail service 24 miles from the Downtown Riverside Station to the Perris South Station, with three additional stations: Riverside Hunter Park/UCR, Moreno Valley/March Field, and Perris Downtown. The project also included construction and rehabilitation of railroad tracks, upgraded at-grade crossings and improvement of existing tracks. The 91/PVL is offering greater access to Southern California’s commuter rail network for residents in Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula, San Jacinto, Hemet, Lake Elsinore and Wildomar.  The 24-mile extension of Metrolink service was designed to reduce traffic congestion on Interstate 215, improve transit options for southwestern Riverside County residents, who have some of the longest commutes in southern California, and offer an environmentally friendly option to solo vehicle travel.
