Metrolink Perris Valley Line

The 91/PVL extended Metrolink passenger rail service 24 miles from the Downtown Riverside Station through Riverside and Perris. Four new stations were added: Riverside Hunter Park/UCR, Moreno Valley/March Field, Perris Downtown, and Perris South. The project also included construction and rehabilitation of railroad tracks, upgrades to at-grade crossings and improvements to existing tracks. The 91/PVL has expanded access to Southern California’s passenger rail network for residents in Riverside, Perris, Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula, San Jacinto, Hemet, Lake Elsinore and Wildomar.  The 24-mile extension of Metrolink service was designed to reduce traffic congestion on Interstate 215, improve transit options for southwestern Riverside County residents, who have some of the longest commutes in southern California, and offer an environmentally friendly alternative to solo vehicle travel.
